HOME ANTIQUES PRIMATIVES BOOKS WINE PRINTS & ART SOW-2-GO KROTZBILT UBIQUITOUS PIG

Susan and Dan Krotz are the people and proprietors of Sow's Ear Antiques & Books. Their enjoyment of the style and comfort of the Ozarks is reflected in their home/shop and it's grounds. They have become creative and adept at remaking traditional furniture and decor from barn wood, findings and leavings. What is "KROTZBILT" is not antique (Dan and Susan just aren't that old, yet). KROTZBILT stands for creative and loving reconstruction that evokes the style of comfort for which Sow's Ear is known.

"Our mission is to rescue furniture and lumber and materials from old homes and buldings.  With these materials we build and finish handsome furniture items of rustic, early American and European design.  Through this recycling we turn the 'sow's ear' into a 'silk purse' for your use and enjoyment, and for generations to come."

Dan Krotz

"Researching the paint techniques of primitive American and European craftsmen from the Mahantongo Valley of the Eastern seaboard to the Jugendstil styles of Germany helps us turn many a sow's ear into a silk purse."

Susan Krotz
